Susan Ryan is the deceased mother of Kalvin Ryan, the patient in the Season 2 episode Hunting. She was married to Michael Ryan. She is an unseen character.
Susan died of kidney failure. She approached Kalvin for a transplant as he was a compatible donor, but his AIDS disqualified him. She died because she could not find a suitable donor in time.
