Lisa Cuddy had just found out that Gail, one of the pharmacy technicians, was ordering extra epinephrine. She fired Gail and told Stan to do an audit of all the orders. Stan resisted because Gail had confessed she had done it, but Cuddy insisted.
When Stan did the audit, he found the problem was much larger than Gail had initially said - she had been double ordering for years. Cuddy realized she wasn't using the extra drugs personally as a diet pill, but was most likely supplying a methamphetamine lab. She asked Stan how it could have happened, and he admitted that Gail had been given responsibility for double checking the invoices when they came in as well and had hidden the double orders by marking them as single orders when they came in and removing the incriminating paperwork.
