Stacy Warner was a lawyer and General Counsel at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital during the end of Season 1 and the start of Season 2. About five years prior to the series, she was Gregory House's live-in girlfriend. She is currently married to high-school guidance counsellor and porphyria patient Mark Warner. Arguably, she is the only woman who has ever had a real relationship with House, and Cameron has identified her as the only woman House has ever loved. She is portrayed by actress Sela Ward.

Stacy met House at a paintball tournament between lawyers and doctors when she successfully shot House and put him out of the game. At the time, she was working as a constitutional lawyer. She told Cameron her first date with House was a disaster, and she never intended to see him again. However, a week later, she moved in with him.

Stacy was House's girlfriend when he was diagnosed with the infarction in his leg. House had decided to undergo a very risky procedure which required that he be put into a coma. However, when he was in the coma, Stacy used her power as medical proxy to decide to remove the dead muscle tissue instead. Although this procedure probably saved House's life, it left him chronic pain and permanent weakness in his right leg.

House's relationship with Stacy continued afterwords, and House admits she was very supportive about his disability. House though remained bitter about Stacy's overruling his medical judgment, frequently confronting her on it. This put too much of a strain on the relationship and Stacy eventually left.

However, five years later, after Stacy had married, she came to seek House to treat a mystery illness being suffered by her husband Mark. House correctly diagnosed Mark with acute intermittent porphyria, which most likely saved his life. However, Mark's illness required a lengthy period of convalescence. Because Cuddy needed a lawyer for the hospital, she offered Stacy the position so that she could help care for Mark.

Although House made it clear to Stacy that he would never forgive her for her decision, he agreed with Cuddy to let Stacy work at the hospital. However, the relationship between Stacy and House was strained. House consistently made fun of Mark to his face. He often invaded Stacy's privacy. He frequently lied to Stacy about the need for legal proceedings. The situation was made worse by the fact that most of the hospital's legal work revolved around House.

House wanted Cuddy to fire Stacy because he thought that it was obvious that she had a problem working with him. He couldn't work with a lawyer watching over him.

House stole her file from her therapist and made photocopies that revealed that she wasn't sleeping with Mark as if he resented her because she could walk, it also said that she couldn't stop thinking about House because he is an annoying jerk. He came to her house for legal business and helped her wash the dishes. He captured a rat that was keeping her up at night. Just as they were growing closer, Stacy realized that House had stole her file and was furious at him.

House and Stacy had to go to Baltimore together to review House's billings. Their planes were delayed and they ended up staying in the same hotel room where they shared a kiss.

After returning from Baltimore they had a one-night stand. Stacy decided that she was going to tell Mark that she wanted to be with House and leave him. But then House realized he didn't really want to destroy Mark and Stacy's marriage, and couldn't risk Stacy breaking up with him all over again, prompting him to end his relationship with her. Stacy quit her position and she and Mark moved out of the house where they had been residing.
