Pratt's sign is a clinical sign indicating a diagnosis of deep-vein thrombosis in the femoral vein.
The clinician looks for a dilated vein below the tibia. If one exists, the clinician lifts the leg. If the vein remains dilated, a deep-vein thrombosis is the most likely cause.
