Cause(s)	Separation of placenta from uterus prior to birth
Symptoms	Continuous and frequent contractions, pain in the uterus, tenderness in abdomen, bleeding from vagina, poor pallor
Mortality rate	Less than 1%
Treatment(s)	Monitoring, followed by immediate delivery of fetus if necessary.
