Magnetic resonance cholangiopancretography is a radiological technique using magnetic resonance imaging to examine the bile ducts and pancreatic ducts. It is usually used to determine if gallstones are blocking any of the ducts around the gall bladder. Compared to ultrasound, it is much more effective at finding stones in specific locations, particularly those well under the skin. Compared to ERCP, it is non-invasive.
