Jeremy Renner is an American actor best known for his Academy Award nominated role as Sargeant William James in The Hurt Locker. On House, M.D. he portrayed burned out punk rocker Jimmy Quidd in the episode Games.

He often plays anti-heroic roles, including Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer. He won the award for Best Actor at the Palm Beach International Film Festival for his role in the film Neo Ned. Most recently, he appeared in The Town.

More recently Renner appeared in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in December, 2011. In the summer of 2012, he joins the cast of The Avengers.
