Jacqueline A. Ruffner, known by her stage name J.A. Steel is an American actress, writer, director, stunt person, producer and editor. On House, M.D., she portrayed the Staff Surgeon in the Season 6 episode Baggage.
Steel had a featured role in Denizen: Descent, which she also wrote. She wrote, produced, did stunts and acted in her first movie, The Third Society.
