Fresh frozen plasma or FFP is plasma that has been frozen to 0 degrees F (-18 C) within eight hours of donation.  Since 2000, it has become the preferred form of plasma for patients who need it and it's use has increased over 1000% during that period.  It is often preferred over fresh single-donor plasma because it contains more clotting factors.
