Asexuality describes a lack of sexual attraction to other people. It is distinguished from abstention (where a person has sexual interests, but does not act on them) or celibacy (where a person makes a conscious decision not to engage in sexual activity). It also does not affect libido. For example, a sex-favourable asexual person may engage in sex because they enjoy it.
